The meaning of Equality and Tolerance in the Lao-Chuang Thought
This paper observed as equality and tolerance aepact on Lao-Chuang Thought. The value of equality is based on Chemool(ðºÚª: equality of all things), Moosa(ÙíÞç: selflessness) and Dochu(Ô³õÒ: keep center of Tao). The theory of Chemool said that everybody has proper value in itself. Of course, all things have a different one another, nevertheless, the eye of Tao can see the equality of each value. This sense named Dochu means that is keep the center of Tao like a gate core. Moosa(selflessness) is the practical principle in everyday living which is backgraunded Chemool and Dochu. If we see all things by selfish sight, then we lose equality. The value of tolerance is based on Muwyijayon(ÙíêÓí»æÔ: inaction and spontaneous), Booji(Üôò±: ignorance) and Yanghang(å»ú¼: permit both sides) Moowyijayon is to follow the nature generally, especially marks humble attitude in human relation. The meaning of torelence also means that is to humble attutude to weak side. Booji is a kind of skepticism. The cause of opposition and conflict rises selfish position, on the other hand this attitude permits pruralism, it is related to tolerance. Yanghang is a kind of positive attitude about both sides. This attitude is a logical contradiction, but it is a tolerable manner. There are some problems, for exemple, they have no objective standard between right and wrong and if our society has no standard as a Lao-Chuang Thouhgt are sure to solve the confrontation between each religious and ethnic problem in mordern society. Therefore, they will provide extention with the view of narrow opinion.
